Ideas del Guerrero Kiran

Hola Amigos,
Cómo estais?

He encontrado unas ideas por el club espanol. se las doy aqui:

1. Spanish movie watching

2. Playing games in Spanish, like Scrabble

3. Party w/ food, with spanish music in the background, and maybe a pinata!

4. Start a Spanish tutoring program

5. Scavenger hunt with clues in Spanish

6. Read Spanish poetry or literature out loud. Poetry would probably be easier, and if you can, find Chilean authors (out of all the Spanish speakers, Chileans have the most melodic and poetic way of speaking). They have an annual Quijote reading in Madrid, where people get together in a plaza and take turns reading for the whole day.

7. Find Spanish newspapers and find something to do with them (every Friday in Spanish we discuss something in the news or something controversial).

8. I know this doesn't sound fun, but it's actually really amusing to compare the accents and slang of different Spanish speaking countries. No, really. Find recordings and guess who comes from where.

9. Find Spanish myths (they're always cool) and retell them.

10. Honestly, I don't know what you do in a Spanish club. I'm trying to think of interesting things we do in class... really the most exciting thing we did was where students read their poetry to someone playing Spanish guitar.

These ideas are quite existing!

I am sure all of us have brilliant ideas too; let's try to put them together and create something out of it.
pls send your ideas to Rajiv by email. And do mark a copy to all of our friends (as above) for information.
let's maintain regular communication among ourselves.

Avinash sir, all of us need your participation, ideas and motivation in this endeavour.

Hope to hear from you all soon...

Kiran
